Holiday Hideaway Association Board Meeting Minutes 20040516

May 16, 2004

H2 Water Policy and Update

Members present: Pres. Sharon Schlittenhard, Zobra Wambleska, Hal Forsey, Anne Casperson, Mark Spahr, H2 water manager, Sec. Susan Wintermantel, Treas. Mike Jackets

The board approved the appointment of the new treasurer, Mike Jackets. Sharon asked for volunteers for president but hearing none said that she was willing to serve another year.

Mark opened by distributing his agenda and by addressing several questions about the H2 Water Policy Manual. The manual begins with goals; and one important goal is to be a sustainable system that can provide water to customers without inducing salt water intrusion. Mark will continue to work on goals, policies, definitions, application form, etc. Much of the meeting was spent discussing and deciding policies to be included in the manual.

There are at least 15 water shares that have been made available for resale and the drawing to determine the order of resale will be on May 21.

The financial picture for H2Water Company seems to be coming very close to Hal's estimates. This means that money is being put aside for the state loan payment due in September.

Mark said that recent water quality tests have all been acceptable. He has made some progress in getting the control system to work the way he wants but still is working on several details. Water usage indicates that customers are being very careful with their water usage which is a good sign especially because of the dry spring and the usual summer increase in demand. Mark outlined a plan to check for leakage and another idea that will make it possible to verify whether older meters are measuring accurately.

Anne Casperson commended Mark's work on the Policy Manual and in general getting the water system off on the right track. The rest of the board agreed and mentioned favorable comments by the homeowners.

Respectfully submitted,

Susan Wintermantel
